Multiple branded outlets?
Not sure how to ensure they all follow suit?
Read on to find out how Digicel solved the issue of co-ordinating multiple branded outlets throughout the Carribean without having to leave head office.
Having worked with Digicel on previous projects we were approached by them to solve a common issue to branded retail outlets –how to ensure all stores are configured in a similar way and promoting the same message.
Being in the fast moving industry of telecoms, Digicel required a solution that would allow them to quickly react to competitor's offers and roll out new (and even more enticing) offers across all stores on all islands within the Caribbean.
The solution we proposed (and developed) was a simple web-based application that allows the relevant branding consultant to drag and drop posters into the relevant poster holders within each store before emailing the new store configuration to the store manager.
Simplicity and scalability would be the key to this application so everything was managed through the online control panel we had previously developed for Digicel. The online control panel already allows them to manage other aspects of their online marketing including; the online monthly mailer and special offer sign-ups so it was a platform they were familiar with.
Once the poster had been uploaded to the system it was immediately available to the branding consultant to drag and drop into the relevant poster position on the floor plan. To help the administrator visualise what the store will look like with the new posters, panoramic photos of each store were taken which allowed us to overlay the new poster on the store’s image to give a clear impression of what it will look like. The floor plan includes poster holder locations and dimensions to ensure the user does not add a poster to an area that is too small for the poster.
The system is currently being used across all stores in Barbados. Initially it only allows the configuration of posters however the future aim is to allow configuration of other elements within the store including the phone locations, seating areas and till area. All aspects are to scale and the system can easily manage this future requirement.
"The Site Doctor was –as ever, highly professional with their entire process. Despite working from several thousand miles away, they were able to quickly and easily understand the brief and translate it into a very suitable and easy-to-use solution."
